Description
STORY
A love story between a prince and a flower.
A poor girl buried her past in the ground, and from the same ground she rose in the form of a flower, ready for a new life. Because, even though she wasn’t aware of this, she was ment to marry a prince.
A grandmother, named Floare (=Flower) Rus, from Oar?a de Sus, Maramure?, showed us how strong a Flower can be.
The source of inspiration for this image was “Flower Girl”, a story from “The old emperor and the birds of love”, a book of authentic fairy tales from Maramures, collected by the anthropologist Pamfil Bil?iu.
*Maramures is a region in northen Romania, where folk traditions have been well preserved until nowadays.
